Softphone integration
When clicking on the phone icon to initiate a phone call, use a protocol that will initiate a softphone app, like Bria. Just like the Amicus mobile app opens the standard phone call app to dial the call, then when the call is ended, returns control back to Amicus. Would love to have the same feature in the desktop version of Amicus.

Michael SavageI recommend integration with RingCentral. It has SMS among many other features. Highly recommend it.

Tom Brodersen MergedThe reason I used Amicus Attorney going back to 2001 was the ability to click the phone icon, dial the phone and open the telephone call record (linked to both contact and case file), all in one motion. That made it easy not just to keep track of my own telephone calls and notes (with one additional click to generate a time entry), but also to encourage my emplyees to track theirs, so I can see what was said by and to my clients by the whole office. I NEED PHONE DIALING BACK!

Charles FairI don't understand why this feature is not already implemented. Instead of Amicus opening the archaic Windows dialer which requires a modem to connect to a phone line, Amicus should simply use the current TEL protocol in Windows.

Michael SavageLink for developer API for RingCentral.

Michael SavageHowever. If Amicus simply allowed users the option to have amicus use the Tel: protocol you would be able to use ringcentral softphone for auto dialing. Very simple fix for that. However, full blown integration would be better will ability to send texts/faxes and etc.

Paolo BroggiI Agree with Michael more and more of my clients are switching to RingCentral and there is an open API for other programs. There is an add in in Chrome that now you can hover the mouse a phone number in a web page and a RC Phone icon pops up and start a phone call from there. It would be great if you do that in Amicus you have a Phone call windows with the timre coming up. This could be done with an incoming call as the caller ID in the RingCentral app can be passed to Amicus People table.

Charles FairUsing the Tel: protocol would allow Amicus users to integrate with whatever voip software they are using, much like the windows dialer in the old days would work with whatever hardware modem users had. I don't understand why this feature is not already added (or fixed -- who uses modems and the Windows dialer these days?) The coding can't be that complex.

Alberto GarciaI agree! I use Ringcentral and Amicus is the only program I cannot use it with. I'm getting tired of copy and pasting phone numbers to ringcentral. I just want to click on the phone icon to dial. Also, who uses phone modems these days? I used samsung xchange before Ringcentral and it worked very well. Hopefully someone will find a way to solve this.
